Terms & Conditions – Made-Right Services

Please carefully read the following terms and conditions ("Terms") before using our Furniture Installation and Relocation Service ("Service"). By engaging in our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you have any queries, please contact us on 021 156 7910 or admin@maderightservices.co.nz

1. Estimate

We can generate estimates based on the information provided by you. It is important to ensure the accuracy of the information, including details about the type of furniture needed to be installed or access conditions at both the pick-up and delivery addresses. Please inform us about any challenging or heavy items such as photocopying machines, solid desks, storage units or bookcases, as these factors may impact the allocation of resources (such as personnel or vehicles) for your job. Inaccurate information, such as an incorrect assessment of the job’s size, can affect the scheduling of the next whānau or client after you.

2. Logistics

We maintain the right to adjust the allocated resources, including the number of personnel and trucks, from the initial quote. This is done to ensure a smooth and efficient removal process. The rates charged will be adjusted accordingly, either increasing or decreasing on a per-man and per-truck basis or if you have additional furniture needed to be installed. However, it is important to note that having additional men and/or trucks can reduce the overall duration of your job and result in a balanced overall cost. Any unforeseen work or materials required to complete the services may be charged for in addition to any amount set out in the quote following consultation with you. We will strive to keep you informed about these changes through effective communication as frequently as we can.

3. Site Access

The client is responsible for ensuring that our staff can freely access your residence or property during installation or the loading and unloading process. If either of your addresses is in an apartment or office block with elevator access, please reserve the elevator and provide a priority key as needed. It is in the client's best interest to have driveways cleared or a parking spot available for the moving truck, so that the ramp or tail lift can be positioned for the closest and most practical access.

4. Delays

Any downtime resulting from delays caused by circumstances beyond the control of Made-Right Services will be charged at the same rate as the labour rate for your move. For instance, if there is a delay in gaining access to the destination address due to delayed property settlements, this downtime will be charged accordingly. We make every effort to time our arrival in order to minimize any potential delays.

5. Vehicle Unattended

Please note that in situations where the truck is left unattended, we cannot be held liable for any thefts by third parties as this is beyond our control. This might happen, for example, when our staff is loading or unloading in a multi-level apartment or office building, or if the truck is left on the road due to lack of driveway access. If your load or unload location might be considered a security risk, we suggest that you have someone wait with the truck to ensure safety. Please be aware that if the truck receives a parking infringement (ticket) during the course of completing your move, the cost will be passed on to you.

6. Carriage of Goods

All goods are packed and moved at the owner's risk, in accordance with the Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017, Part 5, Subpart 1. As the carrier, we are not obligated to provide compensation for lost or damaged goods, unless the loss or damage was intentional. However, we do have Public Liability Insurance with a maximum liability of $2M.

We recommend that you check with your insurance provider prior to the move, as some policies may cover household moves as a standard inclusion.

Please rest assured that we take utmost care in handling your possessions and maintain a very low incidence of damage. Our staff are trained in industry best practices and techniques to minimize the risk of injury or damage to your goods.

7. Payment

Payment is required in full upon completion of the job, or within 21 days from the job and/or invoice date as agreed. Unless otherwise specified, the following payment methods are accepted:

  1. Online payment: Please make the payment to account 12-3192-0809288-37 (Made-Right Services) REF: Invoice #

Please be aware that if accounts remain unpaid or overdue, penalty charges and/or collection costs may be imposed.

8. Change of Date or Cancellation

To change your move date, we kindly request that you submit a written request (via email) at least 48 hours prior to the original move date. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a fee. While you are welcome to call us for date changes, please ensure that you also follow up with an email.

For confirmed bookings that are cancelled within five (5) working days of the scheduled move date, a cancellation fee may apply.
